Bulletin Covers

I recently took over the job at my church to redesign the bulletins for the worship services. So along with that I am going to do an illustration for the cover each week that relates to either the scripture reading of that day, the sermon text or the church calendar. I have done two so far that I illustrated. My goal with these is to try and do the drawing from concept to completion in less than five hours. So far I have been right around my goal with both of these. I will update these each week as I do them although some weeks I may not have enough time to complete them so I will just have a default image in those cases.


The first is based on two scripture texts, Isaiah 2:1-5 and Matthew 5:14-16.


The second is based on the sermon text for this past Sunday, 2 Kings 2:23-25.

Here is another design I did for Threadless. Please vote for me. I am pretty sure that this design isn't going to do too well there just because its "so weird" but I figured it would be fun to submit anyway and see the reaction it gets.

New Deck: Skaters' Revenge

This is a new deck that I did for Underwood Skateboards that I just added to my portfolio website. It is a sequel to the Skater Brutality deck I did last year.

I updated my website with a new b&w drawing. It is going to be used for a Menzingers shirt.

Update

My website is finally up and running. It isn't 100% complete at this moment but it is almost there. I still need to add my bio and tweak some things, but it is almost done. I also have some new things in the works that I will post as soon as I can. In the past this blog was where I posted all my work online, but now I am going to only use this for news, updates, some sketches and some thoughts and writing on art to bore you. That is the plan anyway.

In other news, my wife is pregnant with twins!
